Arts

The Fine Arts program is vital to all students. Students have the opportunity to deepen their awareness of God's gift of creation and to respond creatively to the beauty and goodness of the world through music, art and drama. Instruction in the Arts contributes to the development of the whole person; promotes individual expression; allows experimentation with diverse materials and elements; enables exploration and appreciation of the works of other students, major artists; and musicians; develops an awareness and sensitivity toward the environment and finally promotes a deeper understanding of heritage and culture.

WHAT'S HAPPENING

Currently there are a couple of projects underway that we're excited to tell you about.

First, the Fine Arts Department is currently publishing a cookbook, “The Fine Art of Cooking”. The cookbook includes over 225 family recipes and should be out just in time for Easter.

To purchase a copy of this cookbook, you can e-mail Jan Labarge at j.labarge@comcast.net.

Proceeds from the sale of the cookbooks will go toward the purchase of a stage curtain. Thank You!

Second, Holy Trinity Catholic School Fine Arts Department under the direction of Mr. Rich Moser, performed this year's Spring Musical - Disney's HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL Jr. The musical was showcased May 14, 15 & 16.

Congratulations Cast and Crew!

Thanks to those that attended and showed their support to the fantastic cast and crew of High School Musical. Their dedication to the performance shined on each and every one of them! We are so very proud of all of you! To our eighth graders leaving us in the Fine Arts we will miss you and wish you much success in your exciting years ahead.

There wasn’t a dry eye in the gym when a plaque on behalf of the Glikes family was presented to Mr. Moser. The plaque is in his honor for the newly donated curtains on the stage. This plaque will hang next to the stage for years to come showing his dedication and commitment to the children of the Fine Arts.

Congratulations goes out to eighth grade student Jen Haseleu for receiving the first scholarship given by the Fine Arts Department. This scholarship was from the faculty in memory of Mr. Moser’s granddaughter who passed away this past February. Mr. Moser chose Jen for her outstanding commitment to the Fine Arts. Congratulations Jen!

Thank you very much to the parents that helped make everything run so smoothly. So many great comments on the organization of it. You know who you are and I so appreciate you pitching in and giving your all.

Thanks again—Jan LaBarge

As a self-supporting event your advertising is very important to the Fine Arts Department. Over 1000 people will have the opportunity to view your advertising.
