Volunteer Information

Throughout the year there are various volunteer opportunities at Holy Trinity. Below you'll find several ways you can get involved and give the gift of time to benefit Holy Trinity Catholic School and our children. See BELOW for IMPORTANT Diocesan information for all volunteers as well as the school's Volunteer Policy.

IMMEDIATE HELP WANTED
SELLING SCRIP AFTER MASS

Holy Trinity Catholic School is in need of volunteers to sell scrip after masses, especially the noon mass.

We will be selling every other weekend. It only takes 15 minutes of your time and we are only selling about 10 scrip categories so it is an easy process.

Please consider signing up to sell. This is also a great way to buy those SCRIP cards so that you can use them for your weekend shopping!

If you are interested, please email Jane Dixon at jdixon@mountwestinv.com.

Looking for Cafeteria Volunteers

I hope everyone is enjoying the rest of their summer vacation. But it is that time of year again for school to start. The cafeteria is looking for volunteers to come in to help prepare and serve lunches to the students. All the cafeteria hours will go to the big 35 hours in which we need for the school year. The times are from 10:00 to 12:30 everyday. We need at least 4 volunteers to run the line efficiently.

The following list is what is needed to be done by 11:00 to serve lunches to the children.

1. Help chop and cut items.
2. Help put things on trays to cook.
3. Help make things like: Mashed potatoes, gravy, etc.
4. Get fruit and other items into containers.
5. Wipe down the tables before and in between
lunches.
6. Help serve lunches to the children.
7. Be the counter and keep kids in line.

Anyone that has some extra time to help out please contact Kristin DeLisio either by calling 724-695-2739 or emailing krisd98@verizon.net. Please indicate what day or days you are able to help with. If there is a day you want to work every week or just monthly please let me know.

Regular Volunteer Opportunites - "The Big 5"
BINGO

Come and join the fun of our Holy Trinity Friday Night Bingo!! Every Friday Night in the Holy Trinity Cafeteria - 7pm

We especially are counting on the parents of our school to give
a couple of hours and help sell food, bingo cards, or instant games.
If you are able to help out, we are always in need of volunteers. For more information and to volunteer, see our BINGO Flyer and contact Joe Mangis.

CAFETERIA HELP

We are always in need of volunteers for the cafeteria. Volunteers arrive at @10:15 am to prepare for the lunches. This involves wiping the tables, setting up the serving line, and light food preparation such as washing and slicing fruit, making sandwiches, etc. The heavy cooking is done by Angela and Kristin. Volunteers are simply there to assist them in light duties. Departure time is @12:15.

We need 4 volunteers per day in order for the line to run efficiently. By having 4 volunteers, we avoid having a long wait for the children to be served. The sooner that the children get their food, and sit down to eat, the sooner they are dismissed for recess and we all know how important that is to the students.

Please consider donating your time. Grandparents are welcome! Please contact Angie Peponidis at 724-695-0235 or by email, angelapep@comcast.net.

RECESS VOLUNTEER

(also listed above)

Volunteers are always needed to help monitor the playground at lunch time. If you can help, please contact Andrea Pasic at annieg12000@yahoo.com or call 724-693-5949.

Recess begins at 11:05 and ends at 12:35. Responsibilities include helping the younger children during their lunch and monitoring the children (all grades) while they are at recess.

AUCTION

Holy Trinity has an annual dinner and auction in the fall.

The planning for Holy Trinity's 11th Auction is now underway. Come and be a part of the fun in planning and creating a great evening for our parents, parishoners and friends!
